Christine Fenby – Associate
Christine is experienced in strategic brand communication, marketing and business development. She has been employed in these disciplines since the mid 1990s when she gained a Master of Business Administration from the University of Auckland.
Christine was Business Development Director of Maxim Group Limited, a leading brand communication agency in New Zealand until the end of 2008 when she began to work independently. Prior to that she spent several years as a Marketing Director of TVNZ Satellite Services Ltd which operated in the service export sector; in this role her design and implementation of brand communication strategies was pivotal to competitiveness and to global market penetration.
Selling strategic branding and communication consultancy services and engaging with a wide range of businesses of every size and from most sectors, has enabled Christine strategic insight; she has an innate ability to analyse internal and external factors, evaluate brand and communication ‘gaps’ and develop strategies to overcome them.
Christine’s broad and relatively unusual combination of marketing skills is brought about by having worked “both sides of the desk”. Aside from her export sector work which delivered award winning business growth success, she has been a provider of brand and communication services which required a thorough grasp of the disciplines from defining and understanding external and internal environments, developing the brand proposition and constructs – through to effective and consistent delivery. Her experience includes product and service brands.
Christine has a natural ability to build and to retain productive, trustworthy and enduring relationships and to do so at any level. She is personable and credible and enjoys using her skills to lead initiatives, transfer knowledge and deliver a brief. Implicit is transparent integrity. Commercially-savvy, results driven and motivated by challenge, Christine’s track record to date reflects these attributes.
